Northeast Indian Blackstone Figure of Vishnu Resting on Sheshanaga

Pala Period, 11th-12th Century
The four-armed god holding a chakra, padma and a shankha, lying on a coiled naga cresting in a seven-headed hood, before a slightly arched panel carved with reserves of flying spirits and ganesha, on a throne supported by devotees.

Height: 11 in (27.9 cm); Width: 25 in (63.5 cm); Depth: 7 in (17.8 cm)
